If you’re in any type of sales or customer service function, you know all of the associated communication and activities can be overwhelming to manage, especially if you don’t have the right tools in place to keep you organized. Between emails, meeting notes, and lead updates, the customer journey is a constant work in progress. 

Luckily, monday CRM makes it easy for you to have a one-stop-shop to help you streamline all of your sales activities and communication - and in true monday.com fashion, everything is fully customizable for your organization! Let’s take a look:

The Emails & Activities app is automatically built into every entity board in monday CRM. This includes: Contacts, Leads, Accounts, and Deals boards. You’re also able to download the Emails & Activities app to any other board in monday CRM. 

Connecting your email

To get started, connect your Gmail or Outlook account to the Email & Activities app. Simply click on the cog icon in the top right corner of the app:

✏️ NOTE: If you wish to use Emails & Activities on the monday CRM mobile app, you must first connect your email address on a computer.

Composing and sending emails

After you’ve connected your Gmail or Outlook, creating and sending emails directly from monday CRM is a breeze! The Emails & Activities app features a fully functional text editor. You can compose and edit text, include links, attach files, and more. If you hit a snag while composing your email, you can even ask monday AI for assistance

✏️ NOTE: You can attach files up to 15MB - although you’re not able to upload monday.com docs yet, their amazing team is working on it!

Tracking emails

Keep track of recipient activity after you’ve sent your email. Simply check "email tracking" at the bottom of the email editor, which will show read receipts within the app. 

In the top right corner of any sent message, you'll see an indication of whether or not the message has been opened and how many times:

Tracking lead updates

You can also set up an automation that will update a date column on your board when an email, phone call, or other activity is posted in the Emails & Activities app. This makes it easy for you to quickly see any recent interaction with a lead! To set up the automation, visit the Automation center. Search "Emails & Activities" and scroll down to the "Apps" results.

Manage all client activity in your timeline:

We realize that client activities include more than email! One of the most helpful features in this app is the ability to see a comprehensive view of all your client activity in one central timeline. You can filter the timeline to only see the emails, notes, events, or activities that interest you. You also have the option to choose a date for your filter and can select multiple filters in case you need to see specific information (i.e. all emails sent in a given timeframe):
