Whether you’re a new monday.com user navigating through all of the different features or you’re a seasoned user who is ready to level up on reporting, dashboards are a great way to easily access a vast amount of data in one central hub.

What exactly are dashboards?

Dashboards are essentially here to make your workflow easier! You can create summaries, reports, and get a high-level real-time view of key information that is important to your team. With over 50 widgets and apps, dashboards allow you to access project progress, track budgets, and even estimate teammate workload to help you work more efficiently.

Why are dashboards important to have?

One of the biggest value adds of dashboards is seeing data from many sources (i.e. different boards) in one location. This data is organized in easy formats, like graphs and charts, making it easy for your entire team to have visibility into projects. This is especially helpful for leadership teams who need a quick summary of activity.

Leverage dashboard templates to save time:

One of the best parts about monday.com is that you don’t need to be technically savvy to build dashboards! You don’t have to know a scrap of code to build a dashboard. No Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is needed. There are countless dashboard templates available to you that serve as a foundation for creating your own unique dashboard.

Once you have chosen a template, you can create impressive dashboards within a few minutes. Most of the aesthetic elements are already in place, and with the right platform, so are the integrations. You generally only need to make minor adjustments to customize it for you.

💡 TIP: If you’re looking for a more comprehensive and customized solution, check out monday.com’s dashboard hub app. This app can be found in the app marketplace and can be used to create and share one-of-a-kind dashboards and charts effortlessly.

Who can see my dashboard?

There are two types of dashboards: Main Dashboards and Private Dashboards. When it comes to Main Dashboards, everyone in your account can see them and you can also invite guest users. Private Dashboards will be visible to only yourself and the selected team members or guest users you are inviting to it.

✏️ NOTE: Admins of an Enterprise plan can view high-level details of a Private Dashboard such as its name, subscribers, and creation date via the content directory.

  • Project status
  • Project owners
  • Project timeline
  • Task priority

With one look, you know exactly where your attention is needed and can drill down into individual projects as needed.
